The snowy days of winter

Well for the longest time I was starting to wonder if it would ever snow this winter and then it hit. We got 6-8 inch of snow. The kids loved it and so did I. I had no where to go and the snow was light, so it was easy to shovel. The kids and I went out 3 times on Saturday and Sunday too. The kids really enjoy the snow but Brandon is extra sensitive to the snow so if any touch his skin he freaks out, it an Autism thing. Check out the video see how much fun the kids had.

Brandon updates

Brandon is not doing as well as I was hoping with this medication change over. Not even sure if its due to the change over or not.

Weird things surfacing, like Brandon having accidents in his pants, holding his urine too long, forgetting how to dress himself.

Also his sensitivity to smell has gotten extreme. He smells things we don’t and gets very upset about it.

Will keep you updated on the MRI. So far we have not received the results.

Happy Birthday Emma!

Emma is 6 years old now. Unbelievable. We are already talking about 1st grade!!!!!!!!!

YIKES.

We had a great day yesterday, went to Breakfast, walmart and then went to the clubhouse in Hometown.

Emma was so excited and Brandon had fun too.
Brandon yelled at these two big boys that accidentally kicked Emma in the mouth!
It was so cute.
Of course the boys had no idea Brandon was yelling at them and I am Im sure they wouldn’t think twice about it if they had.
It was nice to see Brandon do that though.

Emma is so beautiful. Everyday she gets even more gorgeous and smart.
Im very proud of her, she is becoming very understanding and very mature.

Happy Birthday……..Birthday Girl!!!
Mommy and Daddy Love you very much.

Jeff had to take him in the morning for the 7am appt cause i had to get Emma on the bus.
Once I got Emma on the bus i met up with them there.

Epilepsy Medication

Well, we’ve started Brandon on his new medication, Zonegram.

He has reached his max on Trileptal, so we must move on.

We’ve tried Lamictal, but he had a rare hyperactivity reaction to it.
He was very wired and VERY emotional.

So, needless to say we spoke with his neurologist. She switched him immediately.

No problems so far with the Zonegram, however, we just started it yesterday.

Brandon’s TSS had a great idea to dissolve the Zonegram in juice and give it to him in a medicine dispenser.

It is tasteless, so that works.

He also goes for an intensive MRI on January 13th at Lehigh Valley Hospital/Muhlenberg Campus.

Will keep you all updated.
